Why it began.
Axia Africa began with my desire to make an impact. I have often found myself leading people, and I believe leadership comes with a responsibility to put something into them—to help them develop their own capacity. When I was working as a designer, that meant teaching people design for free.
Someone insisted
on paying.
Through a referral, someone came to learn from me and insisted on paying for the knowledge. At first, the idea did not make sense to me: I had been sharing it freely. But after receiving that payment, I began to see something I could build on. The instinct to help people learn became the foundation of Axia Africa.
Wherever I operate, I try to build capacity around me. Axia Africa grew out of that same instinct: to lead, contribute, and help other people develop what they can do.
